BUILD GUIDE
A hidden hook in an existing tiled wall
Retrofit means keeping the wall finish, not avoiding cutting.
What retrofit means
The creator describes installation in a wall that is already tiled. The fitting uses a face made from the existing tile rather than a decorative surface-mounted cover. It still requires cutting and installing the mechanism. Retrofit does not mean adhesive-only, tool-free or compatible with every wall.
Identify the backing
Tile is the finish, not the supporting wall. The kit is intended for a suitable solid backing and excludes hollow framed construction with tiled sheet material. If you cannot establish the backing, do not assume it is compatible. The nominal opening is Ø25 mm; the listing gives about 80 mm of depth behind the tile. Review the actual assembly before cutting.
Plan the visible face
The circular cut-out is intended to form the visible face. Pattern direction and cut quality influence the finished appearance. A spare tile or representative off-cut lets you assess the tooling and finish before touching the final wall. The kit cannot guarantee every brittle tile will produce an intact disc.
Follow the supplied sequence
Check for concealed wiring and pipes and use the creator’s installation documentation. The free template helps explain one part of the layout; it does not replace the full build instructions. The concept illustration on this site explains the idea, while the actual design and files are on Cults3D.
