BUILD GUIDE
What is a hidden towel hook STL kit?
What you get, what you print and what you still need to buy.
A purchase of files
This is a digital design for making a retractable tile-faced fitting. The face is a circular piece of your own tile. The project is for someone with access to 3D printing and the ability to complete a small mechanical assembly. No finished hook is delivered.
Files and hardware are different
The creator lists STL files, a Bambu Lab A1 3MF project and installation jigs. The long K-Push mechanism, adhesives and cutting tools are separate. A printer project is a starting point for the named machine, not a promise that every printer or material can use identical settings. Check the current file inventory and documentation on Cults3D.
Start with the wall
The design is described for an existing tiled solid wall. It is not intended for hollow walls or tiled sheet material over framing. The listing states a Ø25 mm opening and about 80 mm of depth behind the tile. These figures are an initial screening check, not a full installation prescription. Verify the backing, concealed services and assembly dimensions.
Choose it for the finish
A conventional ready-made hook is usually a simpler purchase. This kit makes sense when the concealed tile finish and making your own functional fitting are part of the goal. The free cutting template offers a first look at the project; the paid kit provides the fitting design.
